Events & Celebrations

We were privileged to host Dr. S.P. Singh, an accomplished Agriculture Science Technical Director, for a seminar showcasing his remarkable 35-year career. Dr. Singh has been instrumental in developing high-yielding varieties of medicinal and aromatic plants. Previously serving as the Chief Scientist at the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), his work led to patented plant varieties, including mint, cassia angustifolia, asparagus, poppy, lemon grass, and geranium.

Dr. Singh shared insights into his research and extension support activities, aimed at enhancing the cultivation of medicinal aromatic plants, especially mint, geranium, and artemisia annua. His dedication to innovation and rural development has been recognized with prestigious awards. The seminar was a valuable opportunity for our college community to learn from Dr. Singh's expertise.
